The Long Way Home

On my way home to Fernie from Calgary I found a new route. Its a little longer but its a great scenic way home from the city and to add to the drive the clouds looked amazing with sun behind them.

Meanwhile back at the ranch

I guess in Wyoming they dont bail their hay,  they make giant cupcakes out of em.

Swung through Jellystone again on my way home, this some algea in a gyser's creek.

Just out of home, we stopped so I can grab this shot of the fresh snow on the hills beside the highway.
It was actually the only shot I took that day.

I have had pure black snowboard gear for a long time, but for this year I decided to switch it up and go bright so I can be found when I need to be.  I ended up getting my new gear the other day, blue and orange, which inspired me when I saw this old truck again behind the Royal.

Just cause it looks sweet

Aspen

Skipped through Aspen yesterday, and on the way east from town we ended up in an aspen grove that had already lost its leaves.

OOOHH TAHHH - Pronounced UTAH

No Interweb for a few days so now I play catchup.

Foy Lake Oak Tree's all gnarly and rad

For a few days I thought I had lost a lens here.   Nope, found er under the drivers seat of the truck this afternoon,  I was so stoked I did a little jig.

The Needles in Canyonlands National Park.

Dory and I went for a little hike,  turned out we went for a 20some km tour with not too much water(her bottle got a hole) and cold hot dogs.   Good planning on our part. The first half of the hike was awesome,  second was hellish.  Got to see some jeep(a stock Jeep rubicon) do some gangster rock crawling that blew me away.  mad respect for Jeeps now.

Cisco Utah - No idea what happened here, but this town sure looks like its seen better days.

Valley of the Gods

Southern Utah, Valley of the Gods, one hell of a rad place. crazy huge Mordor lookin spires. We got some pretty flat light for the evening and then were hoping for a wicked dawn but we fled in the middle of the night when it started raining. Apparently it gets too gnarly for my lil Explorer in there when it rains, so we made dam sure to be out before it all flooded.

South Rim

Got to check out a slightly hazy South Rim of the Grand Canyon today with Dory

Mini Salt Lake

Dryed up salt bed on the side of a California Hwy yesterday. I'm pretty stoked to see how the film turns out from this, I took it on my grandpa's old cam that I need to uhhh - adjust - to get current film to fit, and it leaves a tonn of character in the images.
